GIRLS TRYOUT INFORMATION

BSC Logo for print

Bethesda SC has earned a reputation as one of the best programs in the country for developing talent. The unique development process that Bethesda coaches teach, which includes specific technical training and perception/awareness training, helps players graduate from Bethesda and immediately be ready for the rigors of the game.

Our girl's program has a long history of competing at the highest levels on the local, national, and international stages. We are passionate about training young players to become better soccer players and people. The number of young women who have gone from Bethesda to college or professional level is one of the many ways we see lives change each year.

Identity

Bethesda youth players and teams are known around the country because of their unique style. The Bethesda player is known for their technical proficiency and ability to go 1v1. They show their awareness and perception by constantly searching for the four key aspects on the field that coaches teach the players, and because of this, Bethesda teams are known for their high-tempo, fast-paced style that always wants to dictate the game with the ball.

Players will check in with a BSC staff member or coach at the front of each facility. Players must bring a ball, water bottle, and mask to their tryout. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Players must also register for a tryout beforehand (no walk-ups).

After the tryout has been conducted, the Age Group Director will email the player and their families a tryout acceptance/denial letter (The email will go to the address you initially signed up with. Please also check your spam inbox). All tryout letters will be distributed no later than June 11th. Please do not contact the Bethesda SC Front Office or your Age Group Director for a tryout status update before that date.

If the player is accepted, they will be given the name of the coach and the team that they believe best suits the player's skill level and needs. The coach will also provide the parents with the player guide, which will give basic information about the club, fee structure, parent and player requirements, scholarship opportunities, club benefits, and the next steps.

Before a player can participate in any practices or games, they must accept the offer, register for the team through LeagueApps, and complete any league paperwork as requested by their coach or team manager.

Please see our uniform page for information on uniforms.

The club does accept tryouts on a rolling basis. Please contact the director in your age group for more information. You can also email our Interim YDP Director Eric Tin at etin@bethesdasoccer.org
