Program faqs
Our Girls Youth Development Program (YDP) is focused on developing players in our youngest age groups (U7-U11). Players will compete in one of the four following leagues: Club Champions League (CCL), Elite Development Program (EDP), National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), or the Soccer Association of Montgomery (SAM).

Teams will practice two to three times a week, and practice dates and times will be provided by the coach/manager. Information will also be made available through TeamSNAP.
At the YDP level, BSC has four different age groups: U8, U9, U10, and U11.
Teams typically start their season in August and end in June of the following year.

League games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays only. Tournament matches will be over specific weekends. Please consult your coach if you have questions about games or practice times.
U8- Five versus five plus a goalkeeper
U9 and U10-Seven versus seven plus a goalkeeper
U11- Nine versus nine plus a goalkeeper

Yes! Our club runs Soccer Juniors, a program for players ages 3-8 and is for all skill levels. Players will have the chance to learn from the BSC coaching staff in a fun environment. To learn more, check out our Juniors page.
Yes! If you want your player to learn more about the goalkeeping position, please email our Interim YDP Director, Eric Tin, at etin@bethesdasoccer.org. Players must be current BSC players to participate in goalkeeper training.
Yes. Bethesda Soccer Club is one of the few travel soccer clubs nationwide that offers need-based scholarships to players to help offset registration fees and costs. To learn more about our Scholarship Program and critical deadlines, click here.
