OUR APPROACH
A Specialized Training Program
A training philosophy designed to develop a player's cognitive and technical ability gives our players an advantage most don’t have access to. Our holistic approach to youth development, the quality of our coaches, and our history of success make Bethesda SC unique.
TO MOTIVATE & INSPIRE
Our players are self-motivated and inspired to drive their development. Players don't need to rely on others to spark their desire, and that desire is used to push themselves to maximize their capabilities.
SELECTION & FRAMEWORK
We excel at providing a club framework for players and their families. Bethesda Soccer Club selects players following our methodology. Every player has to have an aptitude for soccer, a learning capacity, and, just as importantly, a support structure that trusts our process.
OUR SOCCER PHILOSOPHY IS BUILT AROUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS WITHIN A TEAM SETTING.
We use the game as the teacher, enabling us to help players improve. All players are introduced to a teaching method rarely used inside the United States. Focusing on perception and teaching individuals to make decisions is paramount to our approach. When tied together with a specific technical method, this creates an individual similar to those players brought up in Europe.
PROACTIVE IN OUR APPROACH
Bethesda teams are known for dictating the game with the ball. Our teaching style, which focuses on perception and decision-making, gives our players the tools to constantly find information that allows them to analyze the game's four components: the ball, their teammates, the space, and the defenders. We exhibit energy, high intensity, organization, and appropriate defensive shape out of possession.
BETHESDA STYLE OF PLAY
Our Club prides itself on playing a thought-provoking, attacking style. Bethesda's soccer style reflects our cultural and demographic characteristics and development objectives, allowing creative players to flourish!
TEAMWORK & LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT
We continually support and help each other on and off the field. Knowing that a player's journey with us is ten years, we do not focus on finding the biggest individuals at the earliest ages but the players who will think, play, and be the fastest cognitively and physically at 18, when they are ready to move to the next stage of their career. That doesn’t always result in winning immediately, but it does result in developing top talent.
