Bethesda Soccer Club to Compete in United Soccer League Two in 2026

New team raises Bethesda’s profile in U.S. Soccer

Bethesda, MD — October 8, 2025 — Bethesda Soccer Club is proud to announce the launch of a new pre-professional men’s team, which will compete in USL League Two (USL Two) starting in Summer 2026. This landmark moment marks a significant step forward for the club.

For over four decades, Bethesda has produced athletes who have advanced to the collegiate, professional, and national team levels. Pierre Dyer, a current Bethesda MLS NEXT coach and former player, will manage and coach the new team. He is known for his deep understanding of the club’s values and long-term vision.

“This is a defining moment for our club and our community,” said Jonathan Colton, Executive Director of BSC. “Our goal is to provide a top-level platform for BSC to develop players beyond our youth system. I’m pleased that Pierre will be leading this next chapter for our club.”
Home matches are set to begin in May 2026, hosted at the Maryland Soccerplex Stadium. Additional announcements — including the season schedule, player roster, and ticketing details — will be released in the coming months. Bethesda Soccer Club is scheduled to compete in the Chesapeake Division. Bethesda Soccer Club is proud to take this next step with the support of our players, families, alumni, and broader community. We look forward to showcasing our talent on the national stage in USL League Two.
