Bethesda Soccer Club: Forty-One Years of Soccer Excellence

The Bethesda Soccer Club began as three teams in 1979, competing as the Bethesda Boys Club. Today, we have 65 boys and girls’ teams from ages U-7 through U-19 that compete in various leagues across the Washington D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region and events throughout the United States. The club is located in Montgomery County, Maryland, just northwest of Washington, D.C.

Bethesda teams have had a long history of success, from Academy and ECNL level play to top-level league play as well as tournaments and state and regional cups. Our teams compete in the US Soccer Development Academy Program (USSDA), the US Club Elite Club National League (ECNL) Elite Development Program (EDP), the Club Champions League (CCL), USYSA Region I League, and the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL), and the Super Y Summer League. We also participate in the Maryland and Virginia State Cups and are a four-time National Champion.

Bethesda players have had success with their teams and beyond. Many of our players participate in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) at the state and regional levels with a good number selected for the national team pool. Our players have lead their high school teams and many have gone on to have successful collegiate careers. The Club has an extensive pathway to college program that prepares players to compete at the next level.
