The tryouts are open to girls born after 8/1/94. See Team Calendar for tryout times and locations. Please contact the manager or coach for additional information or to arrange a tryout. Girls U-14 Maryland State Champions 2009 The Freedom 94/95 defeated SAC United Premier in the 2009 Maryland State Cup final and will represent Maryland in the US Youth Soccer Region 1 tournament in Barboursville, WV in July. Bethesda Freedom 94/95 Region 1 Champions 2008 The Freedom 94/95 defeated PDA Celtic of New Jersey 1-0 to take the US Youth Soccer Region I Girls U13 title in Portland, Maine. 2008 Region 1 U13 Girls Results The Bethesda Freedom 94/95 competes in WAGS Divison 1 at the highest level in local, regional, and national tournaments. The Freedom 94/95 has achieved success by playing possession-oriented attacking soccer. Players are taught, challenged, and inspired to develop their individual technique. Significant emphasis is placed on tactical awareness and understanding. The Freedom is coached by Ellis Pierre. Ellis holds a NSCAA Premier Badge, and he continually educates himself in order to stay at the cutting edge of teaching the beautiful game. Ellis has been involved with some very successful local teams including: Bethesda Fury, Bethesda Eclipse, Bethesda Blast, and McLean Freedom. The Bethesda Freedom 94/95 is part of the Washington Freedom Center of Excellence.
