Soccer America announces top 20
girls youth soccer clubs in America
The Girls program made top 10 billing
again, ranking 4th in the Soccer America ranking of the 20 best
youth soccer clubs in the country.

The Bethesda Excel
Just Miss Out on National Title
After two overtime periods, the Excel
lost out to Laguna Hills Eclipse of California South 4-3 in the title match
for the U18 USYSA Frances J. "Frank" Kelly Cup. The match winner was scored
on the 110th minute. The Excel finished
with 2 victories and a draw in group play to finish on top of their group,
defeating the KC Dynamo of Kansas 2-0 and Sting 87 Royal of North Texas
4-1. They drew 1-1 against Laguna Hills Eclipse. We congratulate the
Excel for making the final and

Fury/Freedom Finalist in USASA U23 National Championship
The
Bethesda Fury/Freedom lost on a golden
goal, 3-2, to Real Colorado in the final of the U23 Cup. The U.S. Adult
Soccer National Finals was held at the Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center
in Frisco, Texas, 5-7 August. The Fury defeated the Dallas Sting in the
semifinals 6-0. We congratulate the Fury for making the final. More

as Region I Champions
Defeat Arsenal World Class (NJ) 4-3 (overtime) in U18
Girls Final
Six BSC Teams Make Region I Semifinals
The teams below advanced to the
semifinals after group preliminaries. The
Excel will once again take part in the
US Youth Soccer National Championships that will take
place from 26-31 July at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando,
Florida.

Three Teams Win Region I Premier
League
Congratulations to the
U16 United boys and the
U17 Eclipse and
U18 Excel on the girls side in winning
their respective age groups in the Region I Premier League, featuring the
best teams in the region. All three teams have automatically qualified as
wildcards in the Region I Tournament of the National Championships,
regardless of their finish in the Maryland Cup. We congratulate our teams
for a fine season.
