Leagues: NCSL

Any inquiries concerning NCSL should be sent to the Club Representative, Tony Falcone, by the team manager or coach.  Do not contact NCSL directly as they will only correspond with the Club Representative.  Information about the league, including rules, schedules and results can be found at the NCSL web site.

NEWS:

  • All teams need to update their contact information via the NCSL web site.  Teams that are unable to access their PIN should email Tony
  • The schedule & results of all BSC teams for the spring 2008 season can be found at this NCSL link.
  • The Team Sports Liaison selected for each game will have to wear the orange badge during the whole match.  The orange badge is attached to a lanyard.  The TSL will need to identify him or her self to the referee prior to kickoff.  The primary responsibility of the TSL is to ensure proper sideline behavior among the parents/spectators with emphasis on the following:
    • Treating the referees with respect - no criticism of the officials or their calls during the match
    • Treating the players with respect - only positive comments and coaching left to the coaches
    • Treating your opponent with respect - the opponent is not the enemy
  • Become familiar with the Rules & Procedure Manual and the Codes of Conduct.  There are links below to these documents.
  • Please remember that NCSL will only take correspondence from the club NCSL representative.  Coaches and managers should contact the club rep on any issues.  Parents and players should go through their coach or team manager.

PCA Training
All NCSL U9-U19 primary coaches must be PCA certified

  • Double Goal II - Wednesday, April 2, at 7:00PM
    Marshall High School - Cafeteria
    7731 Leesburg Pike
    Falls Church, VA

These workshops are held free of charge for NCSL coaches.

The NCSL Executive Committee voted to make two important changes in the requirement for PCA training. The NCSL will accept workshop certification for two years (no change from the current policy) with the following two exceptions: 1) A coach who has attended both Double Goal I and Double Goal II training has certification now good for four years and 2) PCA certification taken online is valid for only one season, coaches who took the online training for the Fall 2007 season will be grandfathered and allowed to retain their certification for one year.

For a list of coaches, and the season they need to recertify, click here.  Failure to fulfill this requirement may result in the forfeiture of games.  Seating at these workshops will be limited. Please register by sending your name, team number and team name, along with your preferred date, to Claire Filemyr at MDCommissioner@ncsl-soccer.com.

Updated 2008 NCSL R&P Manual and Codes of Conduct:

Download the NCSL Rules & Procedures Manual and become familiar with the rules, especially those involving discipline points.  Teams are responsible for keeping tabs of their discipline points and enforcing sit outs when the points accumulation determine so.

  • To down load the Rules & Procedures Manual: Click Here

Every player, team official and parent need to be familiar with the NCSL Codes of Conduct.  Everyone is expected to abide by these codes and teams can be disciplined for failure to do so.  Download these codes and distribute them to your members.
