DICK’S TEAM SPORTS HQ REGISTRATION


Who needs to register in DICK’S TEAM SPORTS HQ? 

 -      Parents, players and staff that will be participating in the 2017-2018 soccer season.


Why do we need to register in a new system? 

 -       Our existing Korrio registration vendor is closing their business as of September 17, 2017. DICK’S TEAM SPORTS HQ was selected for Bethesda Soccer Club's registration and Team Snap for scheduling. There will be more information on Team Snap Scheduling Mobile App soon. 

What if I have more than 1 player to register? Who needs to register in DICK’S TEAM SPORTS HQ? 

-       You can add each one of your participants and then register them all at the same time by selecting them simultaneously. Based on their birthdays the system will restrict the divisions that they can register for.


Do Coaches register also?

-       Yes, coaches can register by clicking the “Volunteer” option on the left-hand side of the page and following the prompts.


Do I need to tell the system that I am a Manager, Assistant Manager, Coach, etc.?

-       Yes, on the “Volunteer Roles” page, please select Team Manager or Coach if you are serving in any capacity as a Team Manager or are the team’s coach. 


                          TEAM SNAP SCHEDULING APPLICATION REGISTRATION

Bethesda Managers, 

As many of you know, Korrio will be going dead on Sep. 17. The staff and board at Bethesda Soccer have spent the past 5 weeks evaluating potential replacement systems. We ultimately came to the conclusion that the best solution for our teams was to use separate registration and team communication platforms. We will be using TeamSnap as our team communication platform.

**IF YOUR TEAM ALREADY USES TEAMSNAP, YOU MUST SEND ME, ASAP, THE EXACT TEAM NAME YOU USE IN TEAMSNAP ALONG WITH YOUR PERMISSION FOR US TO MOVE YOUR TEAM INTO OUR CLUB/LEAGUE SETUP (i.e, “Yes, you can move my team to the Bethesda Soccer Club account”). I WILL THEN HAVE TEAMSNAP TRANSFER THE TEAM UNDER OUR UMBRELLA. THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE BY TUESDAY, AUG. 29 AT THE LATEST. WE WILL BE SENDING OUT CLUB COMMUNICATION THROUGH TEAMSNAP, SO YOU MUST BE TRANSFERRED UNDER OUR CLUB IN ORDER TO RECEIVE INFO/UPDATES FROM THE CLUB.

Here is what you need to know: 

1.       You will be placed as the “Team Owner” for your team’s TeamSnap page

2.       You will receive an invitation to join the team from TeamSnap. This invitation should go out at some point next week.

3.       The office staff has uploaded your roster into your TeamSnap team. Please note that we are not able to move all of the contact information from Korrio over to TeamSnap. When others on the team receive their invitation to join the team on TeamSnap, they will be prompted to enter their contact info. Encourage them to do this! Also, you should check the roster to make sure everyone is included. If we missed someone, you can easily add them or we can do it for you.

4.       As the manager, once you accept your invitation, you will then have the ability to edit your team’s information. You can input practices/games/events, edit contact information for players, send out emails through the system, etc. All of these changes can be done through the app or the website.

6.       You can manage your team both from the free TeamSnap App (Download it now!) or         from www.teamsnap.com

7.       The club is covering any fees associated with using TeamSnap. We have signed up for the Premium package, allowing for tracking of availability, statistics, uploading of files/photos, etc.

8.       We will also send a note out to all of our parents on Monday to let them know of this impending change so they know to expect and accept their TeamSnap invitations.

Please know that we are here to support you and answer questions you may have. The TeamSnap system is known for its ease of use and, while we know the timing of this change is not ideal, we firmly believe this will provide a better experience for our teams and you as the manager in the long run!

Just a couple of follow up items on the note below that people have brought up:

·         If you currently use TeamSnap, any info you have entered for this year will stay. You will not lose it. In fact, you won’t notice any change. The only change for you will be that the club will be able to send out information to you through TeamSnap.

·         If you paid for a TeamSnap account for your individual team, you will have a way to be refunded as the club has now assumed that cost. I will send that info to you once I hear from you that you are currently using TeamSnap.
