Friday, March 16:

As the weekend shifts to two-a-day training sessions after campers settled in during Thursday’s half-day, the intensity of the drills and scrimmages increases. On the boys side, coach Gerry is focusing on building out of the back, with an emphasis on how the 4 and 5 central defense positions combine play with the 6 and 8 midfielders.

Goaaalazoo!! One of the many impressive plays on display during the second day of #id2NC.

The players will also scrimmage, before the girls are treated to a special guest speaker tonight. U.S. Women’s National Team and North Carolina Courage forward, Crystal Dunn, will stop by camp to share about her soccer experience. In 2015, before her time with the Courage and Chelsea L.F.C., Dunn became the youngest player ever to win each of the 2015 NWSL MVP and Golden boot award, at 23-years-old.

@cdunn19, of the @ussoccer_wnt and @thenccourage, just dropped by #id2NC to share some words of wisdom! #USWNT
