Bethesda-Olney U-18's Shut Out Chivas USA in OT Advance to Academy Final Four


On July 7, 2014,  Bethesda-Olney's home field was full of cheering, decorated fans for the Bethesda-Olney U-18 game versus Chivas USA. The game went a full 90 minutes of scoreless regulation soccer. Both teams traded shots on goal, but the number one Academy East Division U-18 team showed its strength in overtime when Jake Rozhansky scored the winning goal from 22 yard out in the 94th minute. Following this stunner, Daniel Kaiser added another at the 105th minute to bring the final score to 2-0; Bethesda-Olney over Chivas USA.

Bethesda-Olney will represent the U-17/18 at the 2013-14 Academy Championship on July 17 and 19 at U.S. Soccer's National Training Center in Carson, California. The Final Four teams of the U.S. Soccer Finals are: FC Dallas, PDA, Montreal Impact and Bethesda-Olney. 

This is Bethesda-Olney's first season in the US Soccer Development Academy and the club has an overall impressive record of 27-2-0 overall for 2013-14. Postseason is 4-0-0.
