Bethesda- Olney and U17 WNT Standout, Mia Gyau Awarded Prestigious NSCAA 2013 ALL-AMERICA TEAM


BETHESDA, MARYLAND (USA) --------WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29, 2014
-----Bethesda-Olney Academy's Mia Irene Gyau was awarded the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) ALL-AMERICA TEAM AWARD. This award recognizes the best soccer players in the nation for 2013. 

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America ALL-AMERICA TEAM was selected by NSCAA coaches and must play for schools whose coaches are members.
 

Gyau is a talented defender who plays for Bethesda-Olney Pre Academy Coach Emile Mbouh and midfielder for the U.S. U17 Women's National Team.

ALL-AMERICA PLAYERS:  The National Soccer Coaches Association of America serves as the recognized leader in naming All-America soccer players. The NSCAA selects All-America teams at every level of play. NSCAA members have the opportunity to nominate their players to receive richly deserved recognition while helping promote the growth of the sport.  Nearly 800 players who have been named NSCAA All-Americas are invited to the Convention to be honored at a special luncheon.

ABOUT NSCAA: The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) administers an extensive awards and recognition program which includes Coach of the Year, All-America, long-term service and special recognition awards designed to recognize excellence in soccer, academics and service to the game. In all, nearly 10,000 awards are presented by the NSCAA each year. These awards and recognition are available only to NSCAA member coaches and their players.

ABOUT BETHESDA SOCCER CLUB: is a Premier Travel and Youth Development based in Montgomery County, Maryland, outside Washington DC, with over 30 years of soccer excellence.  Bethesda Soccer Club started as three teams in 1979, competing as the Bethesda Boys Club. Today, they have over 60 boys’ and girls’ teams from ages U-8 through U-19 that compete in various leagues in Maryland, Virginia and Region I. Many of our players have gone on to have successful collegiate or professional careers. The Club philosophy is to develop our players so that they are prepared to compete at the next level.
