Bethesda, Maryland (USA) ---------Thursday,November 21, 2013--------Bethesda-Olney's U14 traveled to the East Coast based Academy Event at BB&T Soccer Park in Advance, North Carolina to take on two Academy Teams this weekend. Every team on the East Coast was there from Maine to Florida.

In this showcase of talent, Bethesda-Olney U14, played Charlotte Soccer Academy to a close 2-1 loss and won 3-2 versus Jacksonville FC.

Matt Ney Bethesda-Olney's U14 Coach, explained via e-mail:

'It was a chance for the boys to match up against the best from outside our division, and it allows players to showcase themselves and the club in front of US Soccer and their competitors.'

'It also gives the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate each individual and the team in a new atmosphere, as well as observe the group throughout the weekend to determine who is able to handle the responsibility of a intense and premier event.'

The Bethesda-Olney scorers were:

U14 Bethesda-Olney Versus Charlotte Soccer Academy FC: Elijah Amo (1)

U14 Bethesda-Olney Versus Jacksonville FC:
Casimir Zeyvin (2), Josh Zinnegrebe (1)

More than 20 U.S. Soccer Development Academy scouts and technical directors were in attendance. This event gave the players the opportunity to see a different group of competitors. -SEE MORE ABOUT THE GAMES-
